Copyright can be a powerful tool in a company’s intellectual property portfolio. HSML encourages its clients to promptly obtain copyright registrations in a number of different forms of works (ranging from product packaging and promotional material to software and traditional works of authorship) as soon as possible after a work is created to take advantage of the statutory damages/attorney fees.
