Ms. Yang practices many aspects of intellectual property law, with an emphasis on domestic and international patent preparation and prosecution, IP licensing and patent portfolio management, opinion preparation, due diligence and US Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB) proceedings. She has been extensively involved in counseling clients ranging from large, international corporations to smaller companies on patent matters.
Ms. Yang counsels clients across a variety of mechanical, electromechanical, electrical and computer software technologies. She has handled matters involving a wide array of industries including computer hardware/architecture, software, communication networks, and digital signal processing, semiconductor fabrication and processing, and medical device. Ms. Yang’s practice includes patent preparation and prosecution, strategic patent portfolio growth and management, and market clearance, infringement and validity opinions. A significant portion of Ms. Yang’s practice is focused on counseling clients on how to enhance the strength of patents. Ms. Yang also maintains a transactional practice, including licensing and settlement negotiations and due diligence analyses for acquisitions and investments.
