The leader of our China Team, he has traveled extensively in China and Asia for over 25 years, building a network of IP professional relationships that helps to serve both U.S. and international clients.

Experience

Seven years with Sperry Computer Systems (now Lockheed Martin Corporation) as a software engineer working on US Department of Defense (DOD) and international government projects.

For over twenty years, Mr. Schumann has focused much of his time on Intellectual Property issues in China and has developed a substantial network of contacts in China traveling several times a year to China to meet with clients, law firms, government officials and agencies, and business & legal organizations. Mr. Schumann was the first co-chairman of the China Study Group of the American Intellectual Property Law Association and has given numerous presentations in China and the US on IP issues in China. Mr. Schumann is chair of the China Team at HSML.
