Ms. Liu practiced intellectual property law as a senior counsel in Siemens Limited China for three years, where she gained insights into how IP helps multinational companies reach their business goals. In addition to patent drafting and prosecution, Ms. Liu has also developed tailored IP strategies for R&D teams in diverse product areas, conducted patent searches and product risk analyses, and drafted IP-related contracts.

Experience

Ms. Liu practiced IP law as a senior counsel in Siemens Limited China for three years, through which she gained insight into how IP runs in multinational companies to serve their business goals. In addition to do patent drafting and prosecution,  Ms. Liu’s duties at Siemens also included developing tailored IP strategies for R&D teams in diverse areas of energy, infrastructure, healthcare and industry, coordinating with Headquarters on patenting strategy in China, conducting patent search and product risk analysis, evaluating inventions and Drafting IP clauses in contracts.


Ms. Liu accumulated extensive experience on patent prosecution, invalidation and litigation by working as a member of The Patent Reexamination Board (PRB) of China’s State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) between 2007 and 2012.
